Rolled
A love poem.

Rolled
None of the stars that shine above
Endlessly cold and white
Vie with your splendour and charms, my love,
Every day and night —
Rather, they fade from sight.
Give me your hand, and let us stray
On this silent and moonlit shore.
No more can I bear to be far away —
Nor does my heart wish for more
As long as you let me adore.
Give me your heart, and together we’ll live
In years and in decades to come.
Venture with me through the world, and I’ll give
Enough that we’ll never succumb.
You ask if I mean this, or speak it in jest —
Or else, if I’m out of my mind.
Understand me, my love is not blind —
Up to the end, I will give you my best —
Protect, cherish, love you, the rest.

Oh, this is deeply felt and so beautifully rendered. Truly, I am profoundly moved.
Very romantic and sweet.
